FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR CUSTOMERS
We understand that, if like us, your business finances have been affected by COVID-19, you may have difficulty paying your water bills. We are very happy to discuss changes to our payment conditions to try and help mitigate your business needs. We are already helping customers with payment deferrals and extended payment terms.
CUSTOMERS IN ENGLAND AND WALES
As a small retailer we prefer to speak to each customer individually and develop bespoke solutions tailored to their needs, so please drop us a line or give us a call. We can potentially offer affected customers staged payments, or deferred payments, as well as considering interest free options. We are also able to mark customers sites as vacant if they are all closed and un-occupied (as this means you are likely to be a COVID-19 affected customer) and this will suspend a lot of water charges depending on the business location, we have already done this for customers, so let us know if you want us to do this and to check if your sites are eligible.
We can also guarantee that there will be no disconnections for non-payment, no debt enforcement, action on unpaid charges and no charging of interest or late payment charges on invoices, for those who are affected by COVID-19 and we share arrangements for those who may be eligible for our COVID-19 repayment scheme (but frankly we don’t think we would ever do these things under normal circumstances anyway, because that’s not how we treat our customers!).
CUSTOMERS IN SCOTLAND
If you are one of our Scottish customers, then you can participate in our Water Charge Deferral Scheme. We are letting businesses repay with no interest over an extended period following re-opening. We can also guarantee that there will be no disconnections for non-payment, no debt enforcement, action on unpaid charges and no charging of interest or late payment charges on invoices, while companies are affected by COVID-19 (but frankly we don’t think we would ever do these things under normal circumstances anyway, because that’s not how we treat our customers!).
We are happy to discuss the requirements of each of our customers in all of the water markets and to try and tailor payment schedules that will allow them to continue operating during the COVID-19 lockdown and beyond.
