A new government framework has been launched, which public sector organisations can access to reduce their water costs and consumption by 30%, through the multi-million pound AquaFund Grant Scheme.
The framework provides an OJEU-compliant route for the public sector to access the grant, which provides all the finance and managed services to reduce water costs and consumption – without the need for any budget.
Those accessing the fund will typically receive a grant of between £150,000-£600,000, and see their first water and cost savings within 12 weeks. Much needed cashable savings for an already stretched public estate.
AquaFund, the only grant scheme of its kind in the UK, provides everything necessary for both public and private sector organisations to make water efficiencies and financial savings including; the full grant, consultancy services, site audits and state-of-the-art water saving technologies, together with water data and tariff analysis, bill validation services and on-going monitoring. All provided at no cost to participating organisations.

The framework is accessible to all public sector organisations under OJEU reference 2015/S 227- 413650.
Private sector organisations can also apply for grants through AquaFund.
